For families

You're doing the right thing by looking

Most of our families come to us in a hard moment — a fall, a close call, a slow realisation that things can’t continue as they are. If that’s you, you’re not failing. You’re doing exactly what a good family member does.

The journey most families take

Step one

The trigger

A fall, a hospital stay, a moment that makes clear the current situation isn’t sustainable. Or sometimes just a quiet accumulation — it builds until it can’t be ignored.

Step two

The search

You search online, ask friends. The options feel overwhelming — agencies, care homes, council services, self-directed support. You’re trying to do right by your family member while managing everything else.

Step three

The mental load

Even with help in place, you’re still checking your phone. Still wondering. Still feeling guilty for not being there more — or not having sorted this sooner.

Step four

The relief

When you find a care team you actually trust — who communicate clearly, who know your family member as a person — the weight genuinely lifts. That’s what we’re aiming for.

Sound familiar?

We understand where you're coming from

“We've been let down before.”

Carers who don’t show up. Agencies that change staff constantly. We know this is what many families have experienced — and why it damages trust.

“I just need to know she's okay.”

Right now, today, you want to know your family member is safe and well cared for — and to get on with your day without the knot of worry.

“I want Mum to stay home.”

The goal isn’t just care — it’s making it possible for your family member to live at home for as long as they want to, with independence and dignity.

What happens when you call

No pressure. Just an honest conversation.

1

A real conversation

No script, no sales pitch. You do the talking; we do the listening.

2

Honest, practical answers

Costs, timelines, what we can and can’t do. No vague promises.

3

A free home visit, if you want one

We see the environment and design a personalised plan together.

4

You meet the carer first

Never a stranger unannounced. If it’s not the right fit, we find someone else.

Questions families ask us

Common questions

Is home care right for our situation?

If your family member can still live in their home safely with the right support, home care is usually the right choice — it maintains independence and preserves familiar surroundings. We can help you assess this during a free assessment.

What if Mum says she doesn't want help?

This is extremely common. We’re experienced in introducing support gently — sometimes starting with companionship visits rather than “care” — and building trust over time.

What does it cost?

Costs depend on the level of care, hours per week and type of service. We’ll give you clear pricing on our first call — no vague ranges. If you’re eligible for Self-directed Support, we can help you understand that process too.

What happens if our carer is off sick?

We have cover arrangements in place precisely for this, and you’ll be notified in advance whenever possible. We do not leave people without care because of an absence.
